1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of greentax.in ("the Site") and any subdomains, applications, or services we provide. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021. They do not require any physical or digital signature to be enforceable.

2. About the service

The Site is operated by Purusothaman R, sole proprietor, trading as PORUZ, having its principal place of business at 170/4, Karthiga Nagar, Thanakkankulam, Harveypatti, Madurai, Tamil Nadu — 625006, India (GSTIN: 33DXTPP8527G1ZU).

The Site provides:

• Calculators for solar tax depreciation, EV savings, vehicle green tax, and similar topics.
• Editorial guides on Indian solar, EV, and green-tax policy.
• A directory of EV dealerships sourced from Google Places (with attribution).
• Original research reports based on the directory.
• Lead-routing forms that connect interested users with named partner installers and dealers.

We are not a chartered-accountancy practice, financial advisor, broker, vehicle dealer, or solar installer. We do not sell solar systems, electric vehicles, or any physical goods.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act 1872 to use any interactive feature of this Site (including submitting forms or testimonials). By using such features, you represent that you meet these conditions.

The Site is offered primarily for users in India. Use from outside India is at your own risk and may be subject to local laws we do not control.

4. Permitted use

You may use this Site to:

• Read editorial content, guides, and research reports for personal or professional purposes.
• Use calculators to estimate tax outcomes, savings, and policy benefits.
• Submit lead, contact, and testimonial forms truthfully and in your own capacity.
• Cite our research reports under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence (with attribution and a link to the original report URL).

5. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonating information through any form on the Site.
• Use any automated tool (scraper, bot, crawler) to extract data from the Site at a rate or volume that exceeds reasonable use, or in a way that bypasses rate limits, access controls, or our robots.txt.
• Republish or rehost the dealer directory in a way that competes with the Site, except as permitted under the CC BY 4.0 licence for the research dataset.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Site.
• Use the Site to transmit malware, phishing content, spam, or any material that infringes third-party rights or violates Indian law.
• Use the Site to engage in any activity that would, if conducted offline, be unlawful in India under the Indian Penal Code, the IT Act 2000, or any other applicable law.
• Use the Site to harass, defame, or threaten any individual, including dealerships listed in the directory.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access (and to report relevant information to law-enforcement authorities) if we have a reasonable basis to believe you have violated this section.

6. Calculators & no professional advice

All calculators on this Site (including Solar Depreciation, EV Savings, Green Tax, and any others) produce indicative estimates only. They are not certified financial, tax, or legal advice.

Calculator outputs depend on inputs you provide and on rates and policies that change over time. Actual outcomes will depend on:

• Your specific income tax bracket, business structure, and filing position.
• State-specific RTO and DISCOM policies that may differ from the national rates we use.
• Subsidy availability, processing time, and disbursement, which we do not control.
• Vehicle, panel, or component specifications that may differ from the public retail figures we use as inputs.

Before relying on any calculator output to file a tax return, sign a contract, or make a financial decision, consult a qualified Chartered Accountant or licensed professional. See our methodology document for the formula sources and refresh cadence we use.

7. Lead-generation flow & partner sharing

Some forms on the Site are designed to connect you with a partner installer or dealer. Where this is the case:

1. The partner is named on the form at the time of submission.
2. By submitting the form, you give us specific consent to share the data fields shown on the form (typically: name, email, phone, city) with that partner for the purpose of providing you a quote.
3. The partner will contact you directly. Any subsequent transaction, contract, installation, or vehicle purchase is between you and the partner.
4. GreenTax.in is not a party to any agreement, contract, or commercial transaction between you and the partner. We do not warrant the partner's quality, pricing, delivery, or service.

You can withdraw lead-sharing consent at any time. See the Privacy Policy section 7 for details.

8. Third-party content & intermediary status

The Site includes data sourced from third parties, including:

• EV dealership names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, ratings, and review counts sourced from Google Places (Google Maps Platform).
• Subsidy rates and tax-policy figures derived from official Indian government notifications, gazettes, and DISCOM circulars.
• Advertisements served through Google AdSense.

To the extent we publish third-party content (including dealer directory entries and user-submitted testimonials), we act as an "intermediary" within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act 2000 and claim the safe-harbour protection of Section 79 of that Act, subject to the conditions in the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021.

If you believe any third-party content on the Site is unlawful, defamatory, infringes your intellectual property, or otherwise violates the Rules, please contact our Grievance Officer (see section 16). We will follow the takedown process specified in Rule 3(2) of the Intermediary Guidelines.

9. Intellectual property

All original content on the Site — including the design, calculator code, editorial guides, original research reports, and the GreenTax.in name and branding — is the intellectual property of Purusothaman R / PORUZ, except where attribution indicates otherwise.

Open data exception: Our research datasets (including the EV Dealer Network India 2026 report) are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. You may reuse them for any purpose with attribution and a link back to the original report.

Trademarks, logos, and brand names of third parties (Tata, MG, Hyundai, Mahindra, BYD, Ola, Ather, TVS, Bajaj, Hero, and others) are the property of their respective owners. We use them only for the descriptive and editorial purpose of identifying the brands being discussed.

10. User submissions

When you submit a testimonial, comment, or any other content to the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, edit, publish, and republish that content on the Site and in our marketing material, provided that we do not misrepresent your statement.

You represent that any content you submit is your own original statement, is truthful, and does not infringe any third-party rights. We may decline to publish, edit, or remove any submission at our sole discretion.

Testimonials are only published with your verifiable, written consent. See our Privacy Policy for how we verify consent.

11. Disclaimers & warranties

The Site, its content, calculators, and dealer directory are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by Indian law.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

• The Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Calculator outputs are accurate, complete, or current for your specific situation.
• Dealer directory entries are correct or that the dealerships listed are still operating.
• Subsidy rates, tax rates, or policy figures will not change between our refresh cycles.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, in no event shall Purusothaman R, PORUZ, or any agent, employee, or contractor be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including damages for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or business interruption — arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or its content.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising under or in connection with the Site shall not exceed ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees), or the aggregate amount you have actually paid to us in the past 12 months (which is typically zero, since the Site is free to use), whichever is greater.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought (contract, tort, statute, or otherwise) and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Purusothaman R and PORUZ from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law in your use of the Site.
• Any content you submit to the Site, including infringement of third-party rights.
• Your violation of the Privacy Policy.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site (in whole or in part) at any time, without notice, if we have a reasonable basis to believe you have violated these Terms.

The provisions of these Terms that, by their nature, are intended to survive termination — including sections 9 (Intellectual property), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of liability), 13 (Indemnification), 15 (Governing law), and 16 (Grievance redressal) — will survive any termination of your access to the Site.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without giving effect to any conflict-of-laws principles. The Information Technology Act 2000, the Indian Contract Act 1872, the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and other applicable Indian laws will apply.

Subject to section 16 below, the courts at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site.

16. Grievance redressal

In compliance with Section 79(2) of the Information Technology Act 2000 and Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address any complaints relating to the Site. The contact details are:

Please include the URL of the page or content you are complaining about and a clear statement of the issue. We will acknowledge your complaint within 72 hours and resolve it within 30 days, as required by the Intermediary Guidelines.

Filing a grievance with our Grievance Officer is required as a first step before any action is brought before a court. This does not affect any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 to approach a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

17. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, your only remedy is to stop using the Site.
