Independent Indian green-finance research, grounded in primary sources.
GreenTax.in is built and operated by a small team. We publish calculators, state-by-state policy guides, and a verified directory of EV dealers — sourced from RTO gazettes, MNRE notifications, the Income Tax Act, and Google Places. We don't sell leads to manufacturers, and we don't accept paid editorial.

Why this site exists
Indian green-finance information is fragmented. Solar depreciation rules sit in the Income Tax Act. EV state subsidies are buried in transport-department notifications. Green tax rates differ by RTO, vehicle age, and fuel type — and none of this is in one place.
GreenTax.in exists to consolidate that. Every calculator on this site reproduces the math from a primary source (Section 32, FAME-III, state EV policies). Every dealer in our directory is sourced from Google Places and re-verified for phone/website/hours. Every policy claim is benchmarked against the gazette or notification it came from.
We're explicit about what's verified versus what's computed. State pages with fewer than three verified dealers are marked noindex rather than padded with directory filler. Calculator outputs cite the formula and the source rate.
Editorial principles
✓
Primary-source benchmarking
Tax math benchmarked against the Income Tax Act 1961. Subsidy figures cross-checked against MNRE / FAME-III / state EV policy gazettes.
✓
No paid editorial
We don't accept money to feature dealers, brands, or installers in editorial guides. Sponsored content, when used, is labeled.
✓
Transparent uncertainty
Where a state subsidy is announced but not yet notified, we label it as such. Where dealer counts are thin, we mark the page noindex rather than mislead Google or readers.

Corrections welcome
